Job summary

AppCard Inc. is a technology and marketing company based in Manhattan, NY. We are hiring a System Engineer to provide first- and second-line support to customers and to deepen expertise in IoT and cloud infrastructure.

This role requires off-hour support and weekends, with responsibilities including diagnosing Linux-based issues, performing Level 1-3 troubleshooting, and maintaining strong client relationships while documenting knowledge for internal and external use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong Linux administration skills, with experience in mission-critical applications.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Service Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including Linux-based systems, databases, and network configurations
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customer support, delivering Level 1-3 troubleshooting and resolution
• Ability to think beyond the ticket — understanding business impact and contributing to operational improvements
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
• Collaborate with internal teams to document best practices and enhance the knowledge base for both internal and external use
• Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
• Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
• Maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring a first-class customer experience
