Allegheny Health Network seeks the AHN System Chair, Department of Ophthalmology, primarily located at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. The role leads a growing ophthalmology program with focus on clinical and translational research and exceptional patient care.

The Chair will guide strategy, maintain accreditation standards, oversee research activities, mentor staff, and develop training programs while representing AHN in regional and international forums.

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified in ophthalmology.
• Completion of an ACGME-approved Ophthalmology Residency.
• Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania prior to employment.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Articulate a vision, drive innovation, inspire others, and set high expectations.
• Lead clinical and translational research initiatives within the department.
• Oversee programmatic and operational aspects of the Department of Ophthalmology.
• Mentor and develop physician staff and trainees.
• Represent AHN at regional, national, and international meetings.
• Develop and implement strategies for patient care and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to resident and fellowship training programs.
