Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a System Chair for the ENT Department at AHN with a strong leadership background in Otolaryngology. The role focuses on strategic development, aligning clinical care with research goals, and enhancing patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The candidate will lead a growing program, mentor physicians and staff, and drive value-based care initiatives while engaging in regional and international scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board certification in otolaryngology
• ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology residency completed
• Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Articulate a clear vision for the ENT division and set high expectations for achievement
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and foster collaboration to deliver exceptional patient care
• Oversee inpatient and outpatient standards of care and maintain accreditations
• Direct research and development activities within the division and align with AHN goals
• Mentor physician staff and trainees and support education initiatives
• Prepare orders, consents, charges and medical documentation as needed
• Direct all activities to maintain and advance patient care within ENT
• Oversee program operations and participate in regional, national and international meetings
• Engage in education of students, residents and fellows and contribute to publications
