Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking a System Administrator for an 8‑month engagement with the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The role covers provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and ongoing maintenance of Windows and Red Hat Linux server environments, with Tier 1–3 support and cybersecurity tasks. Qualifications

• Experience provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, monitoring, and support of Windows and Red Hat Linux server environments.
• Experience delivering Tier 1–3 support and infrastructure administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, virtualization, and cybersecurity basic practices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Tier 1–3 support requests and provide excellent customer service.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and desktop systems.
• Monitor server resources, performance logs, and implement patches and security updates.
• Maintain inventory, architecture documentation, and change records.
