Job summary

Novalink Solutions in the United States seeks a System Administrator 4 to support the Transportation Operations Center. The role requires configuring, deploying and maintaining Linux (Red Hat) and Windows servers, and ensuring security and compliance with Commonwealth policies.

You will handle Tier 1-3 support, document changes, monitor systems, perform backups, and assist with threat hunting and cybersecurity. Three to five years of experience required.

• Linux (Red Hat) and Windows server administration experience.
• Desktop/Laptop/Server hardware experience.
• Active Directory administration experience.
• Virtualization/VMware experience.
• Backup and recovery experience.
• Help Desk support experience.
• Customer service orientation.
• Cybersecurity experience desired (2+ years).
• Hands-on with network equipment.
• Video Management Systems experience.
• Microsoft certifications or related certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responds to all levels of support requests from Tier 1 - 3.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Configures and deploys new/replacement Linux(REDHAT) and Windows Servers.
• Maintains up-to-date project and architecture documentation.
• Performs daily system monitoring and backups.
• Patches OS and upgrades administrative tools as needed.
• Upgrade and configure system software for GIS/Asset Management apps.
• Supports cybersecurity and threat mitigation efforts.
• Coordinate with impacted constituencies and maintain changelogs.
