Job summary

FLASH Technology Group is seeking a System Administrator II to support remote operations with a TS/SCI clearance and active polygraph. The role covers server, OS, and application maintenance, patching, health checks, and security controls on a nightly shift (Wed-Sun, 10pm-6am) with training initially on a day schedule.

The candidate should have strong hardware experience, remote assistance capabilities, and be prepared to work across IT teams on projects, audits, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• IAT Level 1 certification is required.
• Hardware experience and remote assistance/Remote Desktop experience are needed.
• Education/Experience path: HS/GED with 15 years or BS with 10 years.

Responsibilities

• System administration and maintenance.
• Monitor, manage and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applications.
• Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes to systems per change management.
• Perform system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk/Tier I.
• Diagnose and resolve application and network-related problems.
• Assist with user account management, permissions and access controls.
• Install, configure and deploy new system applications and tools.
• Assist in system upgrades, migrations and integrations.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and policies.
• Help implement and monitor security controls such as antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls and access management.
• Participate in audits, risk assessments and remediation activities.
• Use monitoring tools to reach system performance, availability and capacity.
• Respond to alerts, incidents and outages, performing root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT teams on cross-functional initiatives and projects.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of IT processes, standards and documentation.
• Provide input on technology selections and system architecture improvements.

Approximate salary range: $94,000-$111,000
A variety of factors impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
