Job summary

Flash Technology Group seeks a Database Engineer II with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to advance the Secure the Enterprise initiative. You will design and maintain MongoDB or MariaDB databases, optimize performance, and help automate security evaluations throughout program life cycles.

Requirements include a BS in a technical field with 7 years of experience or a HS degree with 15 years, and US citizenship. Location: Linthicum, Maryland.

Qualifications

• Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB, including deployment and management
• Debugging and optimization of database performance
• Ability to scale database systems efficiently and securely

Database Engineer II!

BS in technical field + 7 years' experience OR

Must be a US Citizen

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the currentmanual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizesautomation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of aproject.

Required:

• Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB, Including:
  • deployment and management of the database itself
  • debugging of optimization issues
  • scaling

Desired:

• Python, Django or Flask
• ReST Endpoint Development
• Micro-Service Model
• Swagger
• AWS, C2S or other cloud experience
• Docker
• Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs, JSON and/or XML serialization
• Jira, Confluence
• Git version control
• Experience working in Agile environment

The Level 2 database engineer pays between $104,000-$121,000. A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
