Job summary

Flash Technology Group is seeking a System Administrator 2 for a night-shift role in a US government-facing environment. Must have TS/SCI with active polygraph. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10pm–6am, with training Monday–Friday 6am–2pm.

Responsibilities include system administration, patching, and security compliance within a cross-functional IT team. QUALIFIED CANDIDATES will have IAT Level 1, hardware and remote support experience, plus HS/GED with extensive work history or BS with 10+

Qualifications

• IAT Level 1 certification is required.
• Experience with hardware peripherals and remote support.
• Proficient in remote assistance and remote desktop tools.

Responsibilities

• System administration and maintenance of servers and apps.
• Monitor, manage, patch, and configure systems per change control.
• Perform health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.

Group: Remote Operations, Tier II

Must have TS/SCI with active polygraph.
Hours: WED-SUN, 10pm- 6am (training M-F 6am-2pm)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• System Administration and Maintenance
• Monitor, manage and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applications
• Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes to systems in accordance with change management procedures
• Perform system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuining.
• Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk / Tier I team.
• Diagnose and resulve application, and network related provlems.
• Assist with user account managemnent, permissions and access contrals.
• Install, configure and deploy new system applications and tools.
• Assist in system upgrades, migrations and integrations.
• Document system configurations procedures, and standards.
• Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and organizational policies.
• Help implement and monitor security controls such as antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls and access managenet.
• Participate in audits risk assessments and remediation activities..
• Use monitoring tools to reach system performance, availiability and capactiey.
• Respond to alerts, incidents and outages, performing root cause analysts and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT teams on cross-functional initiatives and preojects.
• Contribute to the developmen t and refinement of IT processes, standards and documentation.
• Provide input on technology selections and system architecture improvements.

Approximate salary range: $94,000-$111,000
A variety of factors impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
