Job summary

Mt. Olive Pickle Co., Inc. is seeking a Capping Syrup Maker to prepare and mix syrup batches, monitor production, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. The role requires attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while supporting daily production goals.

Work Schedule is Monday through Saturday during peak season, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; schedule may vary based on department needs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate plus additional training needed.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English required.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions needed for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Measures and mixes flavorings or color ingredients in the syrup room as needed.
• Measures and mixes all liquid ingredients in the cover formula per check-off sheets.
• Carries samples of mixed formula to QC for evaluation, calculates and makes adjustments to batch as indicated.
• Responsible for assuring each batch of syrups and brines made are within specifications so finished jars will meet HACCP and Quality Critical limits.
• Responsible for assuring that the correct formula goes in the proper bottle.
• Operates controls to transfer formulas to mixing tanks, storage tanks, and briners.
