Mt Olive Pickle Co., Inc. seeks a Capping Syrup Maker for its production team. The role focuses on preparing and mixing syrup batches, monitoring processes, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

The position runs Monday through Saturday during peak season, from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with schedule variations based on department needs. Training is provided for syrup makers and safety protocols are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with additional training or certifications as required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly for daily tasks.
• Solid math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions) for weighing and measuring ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Measures and mixes flavorings or color ingredients in the syrup room.
• Measures and mixes all liquid ingredients per check-off sheets.
• Carries samples to QC for evaluation and adjusts batches as needed.
• Ensures each batch meets HACCP and quality limits and goes into the correct bottle.
• Operates controls to transfer formulas to mixing and storage tanks and briners.
• Cleans and maintains tanks, hoses, pumps, and transfer lines per shift.
