Job summary

Mt. Olive Pickle Company, Inc. is seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to lead our inside production team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will supervise various functions such as Cutting, Packing, Pasteurizing/Capping, Finished Goods, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will mentor staff, enforce SOPs and GMPs, coordinate with other departments, and drive continuous improvement while meeting production targets and budgets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in production processes, preferably food manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage people, set an example, make prompt decisions, and maintain morale and teamwork.
• Working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations (federal, state, EEOC, EPA, OSHA, etc.).
• English required; conversational Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety, food safety and quality rules are followed and properly trained employees perform their duties accordingly.
• Monitors SOPs and GMPs compliance.
• Coordinates all departmental activities to ensure on-schedule start-ups.
• Assigns tasks to department employees based on production needs.
• Optimizes use of machinery and personnel to maximize production and reduce waste.
• Monitors equipment conditions and requests repairs or changes as needed.
• Coordinates with other departments and meets with Plant Manager to discuss issues and opportunities.
• Maintains and updates reports and files; ensures safe and sanitary operations.
