Job summary

Mt. Olive Pickle Company is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our inside production team. This on-site role emphasizes safety, quality, and team development in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The position includes a 5:00 p.m. start and required weekend work, with opportunities for weekly pay and bonuses. The supervisor will oversee operations in Cutting, Packing, Pasteurizing/Capping, Finished Goods, ensuring on-schedule start-ups and efficient production runs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in production, preferably food manufacturing.
• High school diploma plus technical or specialized training, including Acidified Foods GMP School.
• Strong written and verbal communication; working knowledge of mechanical processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable federal/state laws and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Must read/write/speak English; conversational Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, food safety and quality rules are followed and training is provided.
• Monitor SOPs and GMP adherence within the department.
• Coordinate start-ups and assign tasks to meet production goals.
• Maximize production efficiency and reduce waste in each run.
• Oversee equipment condition; submit work requests for repairs or changes.
• Coordinate with other departments and meet with Plant Manager to review issues and schedules.
• Maintain reports and spreadsheets; ensure proper records and housekeeping.
• Lead and develop staff; enforce discipline and teamwork.
