Job summary

Digital Pioneers Academy (DPA) seeks a Math/STEM Teacher to deliver rigorous instruction, analyze scholar work, and drive growth for 6th–8th grade scholars in a collaborative, semi-self-contained model. Partnered with humanities, you will co-plan, problem-solve, and provide holistic support for a shared cohort.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of urban teaching experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Drive measurable academic gains by analyzing scholar work and data, then applying high-impact strategies.
  • Build strong, authentic relationships with scholars and families to foster investment in culture and achievement.

  • Continuously refine practice using data to close learning gaps.
  • Collaborate with STEM partner teacher to create consistent systems and supports for the cohort.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team through curriculum development and grade-level planning.
  • Serve as an advisor, mentoring a small group of scholars and supporting growth.

Position Summary

At Digital Pioneers Academy (DPA), our 6th–8th Grade Math Teachers are more than instructors—they are culture-builders, innovators, and champions of scholar success.

In this role, you will ensure every DPA scholar meets—and exceeds—high academic and behavioral expectations within a community where every student feels known, loved, and respected. You will play a critical role in shaping both the intellectual and character development of our scholars, preparing them to thrive in college, careers, and an increasingly complex world.

DPA teachers believe deeply that all scholars can achieve at the highest levels. As a Math/STEM Teacher, you will bring this belief to life by delivering rigorous, inquiry-driven instruction that builds scholars’ ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage deeply with the world around them.

Through a semi-self-contained structure, you will partner closely with a humanities teacher to co-plan, problem-solve, and provide personalized, holistic support for your shared cohort—ensuring every scholar is seen, supported, and challenged across content areas.

Education Requirements:
