Job summary

Digital Pioneers Academy (DPA) seeks a 6th-8th Grade Math Teacher who is a culture-builder and champion of scholar success. You will deliver rigorous, inquiry-based instruction and collaborate with a humanities teacher to support a shared cohort.

You will work to drive academic gains, build relationships with scholars and families, and design aligned curricula and assessments that push toward mastery, while refining practice with data to close gaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with a strong record of achievement.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in urban public or charter schools.
• Strong judgment, integrity, and commitment to DPA's mission.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, inquiry-based instruction rooted in logic, reasoning, and real-world relevance.
• Drive measurable academic gains by analyzing scholar work and data and implementing high-impact instructional strategies.
• Build strong, authentic relationships with scholars and families to foster investment in culture and achievement.
• Design and implement aligned curriculum and assessments that push scholars toward mastery.
• Continuously refine teaching practice using data to inform instruction and close learning gaps.
• Collaborate with STEM partner teacher to create consistent systems and supports for the cohort.
• Contribute to a high-performing team through curriculum development and grade-level planning.
