Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer for our LFG Division in Florida. You will serve as the technical bridge between customers, engineering, and sales, developing tailored switchgear solutions and influencing design decisions to drive new business opportunities.

You will partner with consulting engineers, power utilities, distributors, contractors, and owner/developers to ensure value-driven outcomes, while providing training and technical guidance across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in technical sales or design engineering within power distribution or switchgear.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, panelboards, and distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical sales efforts for switchgear solutions from concept to execution.
• Collaborate with consulting engineers, power utilities, distributors, contractors, and owners/developers to deliver customized solutions.
• Review electrical schematics and mechanical layouts to propose optimized designs.
• Provide technical training, product knowledge, and design guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Support R&D, technical documentation, and product development for the LFG division.
• Build long-term relationships with key customer accounts and manufacturing partners.
• Represent Power Design at industry events and seminars.
