PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is seeking a Switchgear Quality Control Technician to perform inspections and functional testing on manufactured switchgear to ensure electrical code compliance, proper operation, and safe energization before shipment.

You will read and interpret safety rules and manuals, document test results, follow PPE requirements, operate test equipment, and move gear with a forklift; the role is full-time, 1st shift in Durham, NC with health benefits and

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• NFPA70E required (can be provided if needed).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Document test results and specifications accurately.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical, or generator systems; exception noted.

Responsabilités

• Locate and track documentation for jobs.
• Run tests and inspections per gear type.
• Load files and test sequences from project notes.
• Record test results and specs accurately.
• Move gear using forklift or pallet jack.
• Remove and reinstall panels up to 50 lb.
• Support management with other duties.
