Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is seeking a Quality Control Technician for first shift to perform inspections and functional tests on generator systems at the manufacturing plant. The role ensures compliance with electrical code, safe energization, and accurate documentation of test results.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with switchgear, generators, PPE, and the ability to read safety rules and manuals. Local travel is minimal; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• NFPA70E knowledge is required or provided by PowerSecure if other requirements are satisfactory.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and written directions in English.
• Experience with inspecting, testing and documenting electrical/mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and functional testing on manufactured generator systems.
• Record test results and specs accurately.
• Move gear using forklift or pallet jack and document procedures.
