Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Quality Control Technician for 2nd shift to perform inspections and functional testing on manufactured generator systems. You will ensure compliance with electrical codes, verify proper function as designed by engineers, and confirm safety for energization on-site before shipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or higher, NFPA70E certification or willingness to obtain it, and the ability to read technical documents in English.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work an eight-hour shift with possible voluntary exceptions.
• NFPA70E certification or ability to obtain (PowerSecure can provide).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals in English.

Responsibilities

• Locate and track documentation for specific jobs.
• Run procedures tests and inspections per gear types.
• Load files and test sequences from project notes.
• Record test results and component specs.
• Move gear using forklift or pallet jack.
• Remove and reinstall panels up to 50 lb.
• Other duties as assigned.
