Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a PowerGeneration Quality Control Technician - 1st Shift in Durham, NC to perform inspections and functional testing on manufactured generator systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and engineered specifications before energization on-site. The role requires documenting results, moving gear with a forklift or pallet jack, and loading project files per CD set notes.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in switchgear/electrical/generator work and NFPA70E knowledge are

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operations manuals, and written directions in English.
• Ability to document test results and product specifications clearly.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to diagnose nonconforming circuits.
• Experience with gear types, testing procedures, and electrical safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and functional tests on manufactured generator systems.
• Verify electrical code compliance and safe energization prior to shipment.
• Record test results and component specifications accurately.
• Load files and sequence operations as per project notes.
• Move gear using forklift or pallet jack and handle panels up to 50 lb.
