Job summary

The Resident of North Ridge in New Hope, MN is seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our care team. You will handle calls, transfers, paging, and maintain emergency contacts for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires high school graduate.
• Receptionist experience is preferred.
• Pleasant speaking voice and ability to perform tasks confidently under stressful circumstances.
• Must be able to type 35 wpm and have good spelling and proofreading skills.
• Must have knowledge of facility operation and physical layout.
• Must be able to exercise confidentiality to ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Candidate must handle frequent interruptions and work at a fast pace.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.
• Computer knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operating main telephone systems including answering calls on a 15-line phone system.
• Transferring calls to appropriate personnel.
• Overhead paging.
• Operating two-way radio and radio paging system.
• Maintaining list of current residents and employees and emergency contact information.
• Managing emergency systems and following procedures for various conditions.
• Monitoring security monitors and access control systems.
• Monitoring main entrances.
• Assisting with guest meal tickets, selling stamps and helping residents as needed.
