Job summary

Precision Castparts in Redmond, OR, seeks an operations supervisor for swing shift finals. You will oversee daily departmental activities, plan and direct production to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

You will lead a high-performance team, promote 6S, manage staffing, train employees, and coach performance, reporting to the Finals Superintendent and Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in production, including leadership.
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
• Leads the department in maintaining a safe workplace and ensures compliance with safety policies.
• Ensures full compliance with quality system requirements and work instructions.
• Achieves or exceeds throughput goals, target earned hours, and budgetary requirements.
• Drives and supports departmental 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coaches and develops team members and conducts performance evaluations.
• Plans staffing and aligns schedules with planning priorities.
• Interviews and trains new employees, ensuring proper training on equipment and procedures.
• Communicates departmental performance to the Operations Manager.
