Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Lewiston, ID is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee a product line on swing shift (Mon–Fri 3:00 pm–11:30 pm).

This role leads individual contributors, drives daily operations, and champions World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles. You will mentor teams, set priorities, ensure safe, efficient product flow, update work instructions, and apply root-cause and continuous improvement tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Ability to model SEL Values to others.
• Professional, respectful communication to diverse audiences.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product flow.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop a work group to meet production objectives.
• Understand upstream and downstream areas for smooth product flow.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback, and coach employees.
• Address training needs and oversee training programs.
• Address personnel issues and resolve conflicts constructively.
• Create and update area work instructions and reports.
• Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools.
• Promote safety standards and assist in safety initiatives.
