Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Territory Manager for our Animal Health sales team. This role covers AR, TX, OK, KS, CO, UT, and MO, requiring up to 75% travel and relocation within the territory.

You will identify customer needs, develop territory plans, and collaborate with field teams to deliver Merck Animal Health value and innovations. A background in swine sales and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

Swine Industry sales experience is required.
Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
Motivated and focused on achieving measurable results, with the ability to use data resources and analytic problem-solving tools to resolve customer issues.
Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.
Willingness to relocate within the territory and reside where assigned.
Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Communicate about products in a meaningful, customer-focused way; tailor discussions to customer needs.
Serve as primary contact for assigned customers and meet with decision makers to identify opportunities.
Develop customer strategy and territory/account plans with cross-functional partners.
Collaborate with National Account Managers, Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners.
Expand product knowledge and share across teams; help drive sales growth.
Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
Identify programs and services to address customer needs and provide education/training.
