Job summary

Merck Irving, TX is seeking a Territory Manager to support our Animal Health portfolio and drive sales in a defined territory. You will develop customer strategies, engage with key decision makers, and coordinate with field partners to grow accounts and deliver value through technical innovations.

The role requires 75% travel and relocation support. You will expand product knowledge, stay ahead of industry trends, and provide education and training to accounts to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree with animal health sales experience.
• 8+ years (Bachelor’s) or 12+ years (HS) of animal health sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze data resources to resolve customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful to each customer.
• Primary contact for assigned customers; meets with decision makers to identify opportunities.
• Develop territory and account plans; partner with account teams to drive growth.
• Collaborate across species teams to enhance product knowledge.
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget.
