Job summary

YMCA of Southern NC is seeking a part-time Swim Lessons Coordinator to lead the swim lesson program under the Aquatics Director. The role balances hands-on instruction with administration, managing schedules, rosters, and communications across sessions.

Responsibilities include teaching group and private lessons, tracking progress, and coordinating trainings while collaborating with Marketing to keep program information current. This position supports safety and growth in youth aquatic programs.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching swim lessons to all ages including infants and children.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of swim lesson progressions and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach group and private swim lessons for ages 6 months and up.
• Manage class schedules, instructor assignments, and program administration.
• Manage the swim lesson program data in Daxko, rosters, waitlists, and reports.
• Schedule and lead instructor trainings at least four times per year.
• Communicate with families via welcome emails, orientations and updates.
• Monitor registrations, enrollment, and program performance against budget.
