Job summary

YMCA of the Jersey Shore is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to plan and deliver our swim lesson program, serving as the primary contact for parents and participants. The role includes creating schedules, coordinating lessons in the Daxko CRM, and mentoring lifeguards and instructors.

The incumbent will ensure safe pool operations, enforce health procedures, and assist with program records and certifications, while representing the YMCA values in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21.
• American Red Cross lifesaving, First Aid, CPR/AED and oxygen administering certifications.
• YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Online Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens and Unlawful Harassment Prevention training within 30 days.
• Online Safe Lifting and Slips, Trip and Fall Training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the YMCA swim lesson program.
• Serve as the primary contact for parents/participants for swim lessons and certification programs.
• Create lesson schedules and manage lessons in the YMCA CRM (Daxko).
• Instruct swim lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines.
• Mentor aquatic staff and oversee lifeguards and instructors.
• Maintain safe pool conditions and enforce health and safety rules.
• Assist with pool administration, records, and equipment.
