Job summary

YMCA is seeking swim instructors or aides in Mount Laurel, NJ to teach lifesaving swimming skills to members, including children 15 years and older. You will build communication, leadership, and responsibility while supporting a safe, enjoyable aquatics program.

Applicants should have experience with kids, a passion for teaching swimming, and the ability to pass an American Red Cross CPR certification and in-water skills assessment. Join a non-profit dedicated to community strength.

• Ability to complete and pass our in-water skills assessment

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn to swim
• Encourage and support students to provide an enjoyable aquatics experience
• Evaluate swimming skills; complete progress reports for each session; complete communications for parents
• Participate as a part of the aquatics staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
