Job summary

SafeSplash+SwimLabs Newington is seeking a passionate Swim Instructor to teach swimming skills using our SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, positive setting. You will help students build confidence, learn techniques, and stay safe in the water while delivering engaging lessons to children of various ages.

Flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow in the swim industry accompany compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in swim instruction preferred; training can be provided.
• WSI certification preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred; we'll help get certified within 60 days of hire.
• Experience teaching ages 6 months to 10 years and with Special Needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills per SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide continuous, positive feedback to students.
• Structure class time to reinforce skills with repetition.
• Ensure swimmer safety during instruction.

What will you do as a Swim Instructor?

• The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, positive manner


• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts


• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills


• Ensure swimmer safety

What are we looking for in a Swim Instructor?

• Previous swim instruction is preferred but we are happy to train you


• WSI certification preferred


• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant preferred but we will help you get certified in 60 days of hire


• Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs.
