Job summary

SafeSplash Temple is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach swimming skills in line with our curriculum, delivering a fun, encouraging environment for students.

You will provide ongoing feedback, structure classes for repetition and skill development, and uphold swimmer safety requirements. Training is available for those new to instruction; certification support is offered within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction is preferred, but training is available.
• WSI certification preferred.
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED and First Aid preferred; certification assistance offered within 60 days.
• Special consideration for instructors with experience teaching ages 6 months to 10 years or who have experience with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills per Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Provide positive corrective feedback to students on their swimming techniques.
• Structure class time to reinforce skills and practice repetition.
• Ensure swimmer safety.

What will you do as a Swim Instructor?

• The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
• Ensure swimmer safety

What are we looking for in a Swim Instructor?

• Previous swim instruction is preferred but we are happy to train you
• WSI certification preferred
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant preferred but we will help you get certified in 60 days of hire
• Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs.
