Job summary

The YMCA of the North in Coon Rapids, MN is seeking a Swim Instructor (age 16+) for Emma B. Howe Northtown Family YMCA. The role pays $16.50 per hour with flexible part-time hours and paid training, plus a free YMCA membership.

You’ll teach swimming lessons and water safety to participants of all ages in a safe, welcoming environment. On-site work with evening and weekend shifts is required. Candidates must meet YMCA certification requirements and commit to high-quality customer service and

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16.
• Certifications required include CPR/AED, First Aid, and oxygen.
• YMCA swim instruction skills verification completed.
• Ability to supervise swimmers and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide swimming instruction to students of various ages and abilities.
• Supervise and assist swimmers to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Know pool policies and YMCA Swim Lessons levels.
• Evaluate students and place them in appropriate levels.
