YMCA of the North invites applications for a Swim Instructor (Age 16+) at the Andover YMCA Community Center in Minnesota. The position offers $16.50 per hour on a flexible part-time schedule with paid training and a free YMCA membership.

Candidates must work on-site and provide safe supervision in the pool environment. Responsibilities include teaching swim lessons and water safety, maintaining learner-friendly supervision, and aligning with YMCA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• CPR + AED for the Professional Rescuer annually, First Aid certifications.
• YSL V6: Observe & Communicate completed; YSL V6 Orientation Principles of Youth Development completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide swimming instruction to students of various ages and ability levels.
• Maintain constant supervision of students and assist swimmers as needed to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Know, understand, and communicate pool policies and procedures.
• Evaluate students and recommend placement in the correct skill level.
