Job summary

Goldfish Swim School seeks a patient, energetic Swim Instructor to bring our curriculum to life in the water. You’ll teach kids foundational water safety and swim skills, build genuine connections with families, and own each child’s progress.

Qualifications

• Available for evening and weekend shifts.
• Experience with kids and water safety is valued.
• Willingness to obtain Lifeguard certification.
• Comfortable in water and able to swim well.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum with energy and a focus on student growth.
• Enforce safety rules on the pool deck daily to maintain a secure environment.
• Evaluate student progress and complete skill evaluations on time.
• Communicate with parents after lessons to share updates and address concerns.
• Use problem-solving to help students progress and stay engaged.
• Maintain and store pool equipment properly, including lane lines.
• Assist with light cleaning duties such as deck mopping and trash removal as needed.

Education

Lifeguard certification (preferred)
