Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a patient, energetic Swim Instructor to bring our curriculum to life in the water. You will teach kids foundational water safety and swim skills, build genuine connections with families, and take ownership of each child’s progress.

The role requires evening and weekend availability, with opportunities to grow toward Lifeguard certification. Prior lifeguard or childcare experience is highly valued, and a passion for working with children is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
• Comfortable and confident in the water; swimming experience preferred.
• Eagerness to obtain Lifeguard certification and grow in role.
• Experience as a lifeguard, youth coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swim instruction based on our curriculum with consistency and energy.
• Enforce pool safety rules daily to maintain a secure environment.
• Evaluate student progress and complete skill evaluations on time.
• Communicate updates with parents after lessons to share progress and concerns.
• Use problem-solving to help students overcome challenges and progress.
• Maintain and store pool equipment; assist with light cleaning duties as needed.
