Goldfish Swim School is seeking a patient, energetic Swim Instructor to bring our curriculum to life in the water and build strong connections with students and families. You will teach foundational water safety and swim skills while owning each child’s progress, with opportunities to grow and develop in a kid-focused environment.

The role emphasizes evening/weekend availability, a focus on safety, and a commitment to delivering lessons with energy and enthusiasm in alignment with our curriculum.

Qualifications

• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
• Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum with consistency, energy, and a focus on student growth.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations on the pool deck daily to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.
• Accurately evaluate student progress and complete skill evaluations on time.
• Connect with parents and guardians after lessons to share student updates, celebrate wins, and address concerns with care.
• Use creative problem-solving to help students work through challenges and keep progressing.
• Maintain and properly store all pool equipment, including placing and removing lane lines.
• Assist with light cleaning duties such as deck mopping, window washing, and trash removal as needed.
