Job summary

EXOS is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach multiple levels and age groups according to site guidelines. You will plan lessons, select drills, and assess student progress while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

You will demonstrate techniques, explain skills, and correct performance, minimizing fear and using appropriate teaching tools. Training and record-keeping are also part of the role, with progress shared with students or parents as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Prior lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach various levels and age groups per site guidelines.
• Plan lessons, drills, and evaluate student progress.
• Demonstrate skills, explain, and correct performance.
• Maintain safe, positive teaching environment; document progress.
• Attend trainings and prepare course completion certificates.
