Job summary

EXOS is seeking a Swim Instructor for our Minneapolis site. You will teach multiple levels and age groups according to guidelines, plan lessons, select drills, and evaluate each student’s progress.

You will demonstrate techniques, analyze performance, and maintain a safe, positive teaching environment to help students overcome fear. Your duties include communicating progress to students and parents when appropriate, enforcing facility regulations, attending trainings, and performing tasks to

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or ability to obtain at hire
• Must be at least 16 years of age

Job Summary

Responsibilities: We\'re seeking a Swim Instructor to join our team! As our new Swim Instructor you will: Teach various levels and age groups in accordance with the sites instructional guidelines Plan lessons, select appropriate drills, and evaluate the student’s progress Present proper demonstrations and explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices Maintain a safe and positive teaching environment Attend all in-service trainings Maintain accurate records and prepare course completion certificates Perform all swimming strokes and skills taught in all levels Effectively communicate each student’s progress either to the student directly, or to the student’s parents where appropriate Project and promote a professional image Explain and enforce facility regulations, policies, and procedures to patrons Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire


• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire


• Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons preferred but not required


• Please note *Must be at least 16 years of age*

Compensation

Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $15.00/hour to $20.00/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
