Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. in New York seeks a Senior Vice President, Originator to build new relationships with venture-backed technology companies and fund venture debt opportunities. You will lead origination efforts with VC firms and guide loans from prospecting to close.

You will market the bank's full product suite, collaborate with specialists, and help the team reach financial goals while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of venture technology innovation banking experience.
• Regulatory knowledge across Reg Z, Reg B, FHA, HMDA, RESPA, FCRA, BSA/Patriot Act, AML, CIP, RFPA and CRA.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new client relationships with venture-backed tech companies.
• Lead origination activities to grow deposits, loans, and non-interest income.
• Leverage VC and ecosystem contacts to source deals.
• Underwrite, structure, and close credit requests.
• Mentor and develop junior bankers and analysts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
