Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Owego, NY is seeking a Software Engineer to join the RMS Global Sustainment organization and work with the IS&I DevSecOps Team to develop next-generation sustainment solutions across multiple programs.

As an early career software engineer, you will collaborate with a diverse team, perform software development lifecycle activities, and contribute to quarterly patch maintenance for Laser and Sensor Systems, with occasional travel to customer locations.

Qualifications

Familiarity with Linux open-source command-line utilities.
Experience with Linux administration tasks (config files, commands).
Experience with Windows administration tasks (registry, install/config).
Experience in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Batch).
Knowledge of software development techniques (Agile).
Software and application troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
US Citizen Required.

Responsibilities

Perform all stages of the software development life cycle (design, develop, test).
Create and update technical documentation (design, requirements, test procedures, user procedures).
Setup, configure, and maintain Laser Weapon System (LWS).
