Lockheed Martin RMS Owego develops mission‑critical embedded software and advanced computing solutions for defense systems. This role leads a multidisciplinary team through full software lifecycle for secure embedded processing, interfacing with hardware and FPGA/firmware, and delivering production‑ready systems.

You will mentor engineers, manage technical dependencies, and ensure compliance with security, reliability, and performance requirements in a classified environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5+ years of professional experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years
• Proficiency in C++
• Experience developing embedded systems‑level software
• Experience with embedded Linux development and system bring‑up
• Experience with PCIe, SPI, and I2C hardware interfaces
• Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating technical activities across a cross‑functional team
• Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to maintain it
• Willingness to work in a classified environment

Aufgaben

• Lead cross‑disciplinary team to plan, integrate, and deliver embedded processing capabilities.
• Own the full software lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification, sustainment.
• Develop and maintain C++ code for secure embedded applications.
• Interface with hardware, FPGA/firmware, and protocols.
• Support hardware/software integration, system bring‑up, and lab debugging.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve processes.
