Job summary

Neo Security is hiring a Sustaining Engineer to keep our production product reliable, secure, and performant for the customers depending on it every day. Based out of our Boston, MA office, you'll own the triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution of customer-reported bugs, security findings, and production issues across our shipped product versions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Proficiency with Go, Python, or Java in backend systems.
• Experience handling customer-reported issues and bugs.
• Familiarity with security concepts and vulnerability triage.
• Experience writing regression tests.
• Excellent written communication.
• Hybrid Boston-based with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Triage, reproduce, and root-cause bugs across versions.
• Develop, test, and ship fixes following release processes.
• Work with Support to investigate escalated issues.
• Triage and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Improve internal debugging and log-analysis tooling.
• Collaborate with QA on regression tests.
• Document root causes and fixes for teams and customers.
• Identify patterns to inform long-term fixes.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production issues.
• Balance reactive fixes with stability and tech debt work.
