Job summary

PAE is seeking a Plumbing Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Portland, OR or other major offices. You will design plumbing systems, perform water data analyses, and support electrification of hot water systems using CAD and Revit.

You'll contribute to energy modeling, design calculations, and construction administration while gaining hands-on experience in a leading sustainability-focused engineering firm. This is an on-site internship with compensation in the $22–$29 hourly range.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergrad preferred in engineering.
• Majors: Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
• Interest in Building Design and sustainable solutions.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design layout of plumbing systems.
• Onsite non-potable reuse and nutrient recovery systems.
• Water data analysis (WUI).
• Electrification of domestic hot water systems.
• CAD and Revit usage.
• Energy modeling and design calculations.
• Construction administration and site visits.
• Assist with cost estimate reviews.
