Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 based in Ste. Genevieve, MO. This 10-week, paid program offers hands-on experience in cement production, with mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to P&ID drawings and plant operations.

You will contribute to equipment maintenance, piping diagram updates, and safety protocol implementation while gaining practical field exposure and presenting findings to executives at the end of the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and analysis.
• Geographic flexibility to work at multiple sites.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and optimize mechanical equipment at the cement plant.
• Review and update P&ID drawings based on engineering changes or field data.
• Create and modify P&ID drawings using AutoCAD.
• Support senior engineers in interpreting drawings and equipment layout.
• Assist in implementing safety protocols and monitoring compliance.
• Present learnings and contributions to leadership at internship end.
