Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mining Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The 10-week paid program begins June 1, 2027 and is based at our Millville site in West Virginia.

You will gain hands-on experience across production, maintenance, data analysis, and field operations in a fast-growing building materials company. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, gain exposure to drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling, and contribute to safety and efficiency initiatives while developing your professional

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing Mine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Strong academic performance with solid engineering fundamentals.
• Willingness to work at multiple sites and travel as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Energetic, proactive, and a team player with field experience mindset.
• Commitment to spend substantial time in the field during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in studying production and maintenance at aggregate sites.
• Collect and analyze data to support process improvements.
• Gain exposure to drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling activities.
• Learn maintenance and operation of heavy mining equipment.
• Collaborate with geology, engineering, and safety teams.
• Support safety protocol implementation and monitoring.
• Prepare learnings and present outcomes to leadership at internship end.
