Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to sustainable building solutions at our cement plant in Hagerstown, MD. The 10-week paid internship begins June 1, 2027, offering hands-on experience with electrical systems, automation, and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

You will work under experienced engineers, gain exposure to PLCs and SCADA, and present learnings to leadership at internship end.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment within the cement plant.
Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues, including motors, control systems, and other components.
Participate in development and execution of preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems.
Work with automation systems and control panels (PLCs and SCADA) to monitor and control plant processes.
Assist in implementing and monitoring safety protocols and procedures.
Skill Application: Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day-to-day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
Executive Presentation: At the end of your internship, you'll present your learnings and contributions to our executive leadership team.
