Job summary

Trane Technologies plc offers a 12-week Summer internship focused on Construction Project Management, spanning planning, budgeting and cross-functional collaboration. You will work with engineers to support programming and material selection while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, energy-efficient building solutions environment.

The internship develops leadership and technical skills, with potential entry into the Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the entire internship.
Preferred fields: Construction Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, HVAC, or related engineering.
Sophomore or 2nd year completed before internship start date.
Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate assigned projects, establish schedules, parameters and procedures.
Collaborate with engineering team on programming and material selection.
Assist in establishing and maintaining an operations budget for projects and monitor forecasted cost at completion.
Prepare sub-contractor RFQs with scope, milestones, specs and billing schedules.
Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals; supervise assigned staff and subcontractors.
Communicate with contractors and owners regarding scope, budgets, performance and close-out.
