Job summary

IMEG, an employee-owned firm, is hiring an Innovation Services Intern in Naperville, IL for a 10–12 week summer program. You will support sustainability and energy initiatives through modeling, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration.

You’ll shadow senior staff, gain hands‑on experience, and contribute to green building certification efforts while learning new technologies and processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS degree in engineering, architecture or equivalent.
• Interest in sustainability and innovation in buildings.
• Experience with LEED/WELL or similar certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sustainable design practices across the company.
• Support building performance analyses on IMEG projects.
• Lead or assist energy modeling and documentation for certifications.
• Coordinate design information across disciplines for energy models.
• Contribute to decarbonization studies and solar PV assessments.
• Provide design recommendations with senior staff support.
• Research energy efficiency code requirements (LEED, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1).
• Prepare and issue project reports.
