Job summary

IMEG Corporation seeks a Sustainability & Energy Engineering Intern in Naperville, IL for a 10–12 week summer program. You will work with engineers on energy modeling, decarbonization analyses, and green certification support, collaborating across disciplines within a 100% ESOP, employee-owned firm.

Hybrid schedule offers hands-on project work and mentorship. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Engineering or Architecture with 2+ years completed, have internship experience, and show passion

Qualifications

• Strong interest in sustainability and innovation.
• Working knowledge of building interior and exterior systems.
• Working knowledge of green building certifications such as LEED, WELL, Living Building, etc.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sustainable design practices across IMEG.
• Perform building performance analyses on projects.
• Support certification efforts (energy modeling, documentation, certification coordination).
• Coordinate design information to inform energy models.
