Job summary

IMEG Corporation is seeking a Sustainability & Energy Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Naperville, IL. You will work with engineers to implement sustainability measures, perform energy modeling, daylight and carbon analyses, and support green building certifications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn from senior staff, and contribute to decarbonization efforts with real project impact.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
• Prior internship experience in building design consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sustainable design practices across the company.
• Support energy modeling, daylight analysis, and certification coordination for projects.
• Coordinate design information from multiple sources to inform energy models.
• Identify decarbonization strategies, including solar PV assessments and calculations.
• Assist in making design recommendations with senior staff.
• Research energy-related code requirements (LEED, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1).
• Assist with preparation and issuance of reports.
