Job summary

McKinstry is hiring a Construction Project Manager for our New Construction Mechanical team in Wenatchee, WA. You will develop strategies, goals, and objectives to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget project delivery with high client satisfaction.

The role covers project controls, team management, and collaboration with subcontractors and stakeholders. Requires 5 years PM/engineering/construction experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with scheduling tools; OSHA 30 is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction is required.
  • Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Suretrak required.
  • Completed OSHA 30 class is required.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
  • PE, CPM, LEED professional designations is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and required.
  • RCDD, CPM professional designation is preferred.
  • Proficient with construction financial programs and software preferred.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and financial management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies, goals, and objectives for projects to ensure delivery safely, on time and on budget.
  • Identify resources, generate assessments, fee proposals, and general support.
  • Be the primary contact for project engineering staff during construction.
  • Transition activities from design to construction and from construction to completion.
  • Communicate with GC, Architect, Engineer, Owner, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules and scopes of work.
  • Define project responsibilities for management, engineering and field staff.
  • Document and resolve subcontractor/vendor billing issues.
  • Support business development in responding to RFPs and bids.
  • Assess site safety and ensure on-site safety compliance.
