Job summary

good2grow LLC is seeking a Sustainability & Compliance Manager in a Hybrid role based in Atlanta. You will lead environmental regulatory compliance across packaging, PCR content, and eco-reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory requirements and advance sustainability KPIs.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in packaging sustainability, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in a CPG environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in environmental, physical or natural science, engineering, supply chain, finance or related field.
• 6+ years leading sustainability initiatives and packaging compliance in CPG, packaging supplier, or food & beverage manufacturing.
• Experience managing PCR content requirements, bottle bills, recyclability regulations, and sustainability reporting.
• Strong understanding of current and emerging packaging legislation and ability to assess regulatory impacts.
• Experience with packaging materials development and collaborating with packaging engineering, product development, procurement and operations.
• Experience evaluating sustainability opportunities and developing business cases for packaging optimization and waste reduction.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sustainability-related regulatory compliance.
• Own compliance programs for bottle bill, EPR, PCR use, green claims, and other packaging regulations.
• Manage registrations, submissions, certifications, data requests, and reporting obligations.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure products and packaging meet environmental requirements.
• Track, interpret, and communicate changes in environmental and sustainability regulations.
• Develop roadmaps and plans for future regulatory requirements.
• Advise product development on packaging sustainability improvements.
• Monitor utilities usage and develop reduction plans.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for environmental and sustainability improvements.
• Develop KPIs, policies, SOPs, and training to improve compliance and reporting readiness.
• Coordinate climate-related reporting readiness and automation where applicable.
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
